Wide Lug Version of the FLANEUR Camera Strap

Designed for Leica SL, Fujifilm XE, Canon EOS series cameras and any other camera that uses wide lugs. These are cameras whose strap attachment points are designed to have 3/8 inch webbing looped through the lug.

We have developed an entirely new and unique design that removes all of the hardware traditionally associated with wide lug camera straps. This creates a sleek, minimalist design that is more secure than using traditional tri-glides and strap keepers.

See here for how to attach your camera strap.

Thinner, Better, Lighter, Stronger

The main nylon body is only 1mm thin and weighs less than 1 ounce, while being able to withstand 500+ pounds of force before showing any signs of tearing. The material is smooth, quick drying and light, so it feels good around your neck in all conditions.

The strap packs down to nearly nothing, so you never have to worry about taking the strap off your camera when trying to fit it into a bag or case. This eliminates the need for bulky and expensive quick connectors.

Hardware & Metal Free Design

The metal-free (other than the split rings) and hardware-free design design means there is nothing on the strap that can scratch your camera while in use or packed away in your bag.

Hand Sewn in the USA

Every item is hand stitched in the USA and made to order. So every strap is made to the upmost quality.

Standard Width

This strap is ¾ of an inch, which we feel is the sweet spot between not too big and not too small. Hence, why we call it the standard.

It has enough surface area to be comfortable around your neck or shoulder without being too wide to wrap around your wrist as a wrist strap.

Camera Strap Size Guide

How to Determine Your Ideal Strap Length

Our straps are measured from the end of the split ring to the end of the split ring. So, you can be sure that you are getting the right size strap.

Here is how to determine your ideal strap length.

  • Grab the camera the strap will be going on and place it on your torso in the desired hanging position
  • Use a flexible fabric tape measure and measure from the center of the lug, around your neck, and to the center of the other lug

If you do not have a flexible tape measure, grab one here for FREE. We just ask that you pay $2 in shipping, but if you buy a strap, we will take that off your purchase price.

  • Another option is to use a string in place of the flexible fabric tape measure.
  • Grab the camera the strap will be going on and place it on your torso in the desired hanging position
  • Use a string and place it at the center of the lug, go around your neck, and cut or mark it at the center of the other lug
  • Remove the string, place it on a table straight and measure it with a traditional ruler or tape measure.

How to Wear

There are 4 ways to wear this camera strap:

  • Classic Neck Strap: Just pop it over your head and rock it like normal
  • Shoulder Strap: Hang it off one shoulder
  • Cross Body Strap: On straps over 40” you can comfortably put the strap on your shoulder and place it across your body.
  • Wrist Strap: On straps at 36” or greater you can comfortably wrap it twice around your wrist for a secure wrist strap.

Care and Maintenance

Our straps are designed for the needs of the modern photographer and should require little to no maintenance. However, if your strap gets dirty, use soap and water to hand wash the strap, then leave it out to air dry.

When you first start using your strap, you may notice some fuzzing around the edges of the hypalon. This is normal and does not affect performance. Just grab a lighter and quickly run it past those threads to melt them into the fabric, being careful not to burn the hypalon.
